I am my parents’ child
spring thunderstorms make me smile
remind me
puddle stomping with Mom when I was little
counting seconds
between the flash and the boom
calculating distance
energized to get outside
I throw on my running shoes
my Father’s need to be outside
to test his body
part race horse
energizer bunny
the same blood pumps through me
soaking wet and smiling
like a girl gone mad
total enjoyment
thank you mom and dad!

I believe I can fly…Too bad my grace and balance equal that of a one legged elephant. Jonathan and I played airplane after a lovely picnic dinner in the park on his visit home from Baltimore

Seed Envy!!!
I spent my Saturday at Vajra Farm for my Permaculture class. We made a huge compost pile, practiced the art (and labor) of double digging, and learned about biodynamics.

I just started reading “Born To Run” by Christopher McDougall. It is good inspiration to keep me running even though we just got hit with another winter snow storm…

While Jonathan built our new work table, I practiced cutting with a Japanese saw and making lap joints with scrap 2×4′s. I also spent a lot of time at Lowes picking up and returning items that we needed.
